SASA Board of Directors:
President Lisa Shattuck has been a resident of The Summit for nine years.  She has served as Secretary for the past three years before becoming President in April 2010, and is responsible for composition and publication of both the resident newsletter, The Summit Scribe, and this website.

Shattuck has worked as an English teacher for 22 years, receiving her undergraduate BS in Secondary Education and earning a master's in Educational Administration from YSU in '06.  She has poetry published in anthologies and small press journals, and her poem "Open Hearth" has recently been published in Steeltown USA: A Digital Library of Poetry, Images and Documents as part of the Center for Working Class Studies at Youngstown State University.  Shattuck has one grown son, Mason, who graduated from Youngstown State University in May of 2010 with a degree in finance.  Mason is now a financial planner for Massachusetts Mutual and also a property, casualty, life and health agent for Shattuck Financial Services in Boardman.

Shattuck, like the other board members, would like to see more active community involvement from the membership.  One of her goals for the Association is to build up the reserves enough to prevent association assessments, and to work on upgrading the facilities and replacing outdated areas, like mailbox sections, with a more modernized system.  She'd also like to see more socialization through community trips, garage sales and welcome teas for new residents.

Treasurer Michael Pernotto has been a resident of SASA since 1993, and was one of the first original members of St. Andrews Homeowners' Association.  He has served as Chairman of the Finance Committee.

Pernotto attended Cardinal Mooney High School and Ohio State University, graduating with a B.S. in Business Administration. He works as a Buyer for Kaleel Brothers, Inc. in Boardman, Ohio

Married, with one daughter, Pernotto's other interests besides his family are golf, travel, art and reading.  He also dabbles in photography.

Pernotto brings a strong business sense and a long-standing commitment, coupled with historical knowledge of the community to the Board of Directors.  One of Pernotto's goal for the Association is to find an equitable manner of water billing that correlates fairly with the billing system set up by the Youngstown Water Company, supplier to the Summit.  Pernotto also hopes to promote better resident attentiveness to individual property areas, emphasizing maintenance and upkeep.

Secretary Gary Schroeder was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois.  He has been a resident of St. Andrews since August, 2001.  He has served as Chairman of the Amendment Committee for the past year.

Schroeder graduated from Wheaton College with a BA in Sociology, then attended Trinity Evangelical Divinity School and received his MDiv. in '73.  He served as a pastor for 28 years in both the Wisconsion and Ohio areas, and now serves as Associate District Minister for the entire MidAtlantic region.  In his current role, Schroeder coaches pastors and helps plateaued/declining churches in a six-state region.

Schroeder and his wife Joan have been married for the past 40 years and have two grown children and six grandchildren living in both South Carolina and Ohio.

As a member of the board, Schroeder would like to see more financial stability and community harmony; likewise, he hopes to see the work of the Amendment Committee phased in over the next few years.  With a strong theological background, Schroeder brings a temperament of compassion and fairness to the board and hopes that this sense of justice will be reflected in all of his decisions.
