About Us:
The Summit at St. Andrews Condonominium Development is a residential community located in Canfield Township in Canfield, Ohio. The property features pool and clubhouse amenities and a unique contemporary design, appealing to both younger and senior residents.
Designed by the RDW Company, The Summit at St. Andrews was first registered as as Mahoning County development in June 1992. At that time, the condominium property was comprised of 14.26 acres. In 1999, the community voted to expand the development another 3.13 acres (totaling 17.39), accepting a northeastern portion of land. In 2002, The SASA won the HBA Award of Excellence as Community of the Year.
The Summit is divided into five specific sections--east, west, south, a cul-de-sac, and the addition of a new section of villa homes bordering the northwest. Residential streets are maintained by the Association, while the main street leading into the development and cul-de-sac, is maintained by Canfield Township. The condominium property uses the services of Mahoning County Sheriff's Department, the Canfield Fire Department, and Youngstown City water. The Association maintains an insurance policy for the condominium property through State Farm Insurance, in accordance with the Declaration, but the Unit Owners and residents are responsible for obtaining insurance for personal effects and improvements.
As a private condominium property, The Summit at St. Andrews is governed by its Declaration and Bylaws. A Board of Directors is elected from amongst the Unit Owners, and the Board manages Association affairs on the residents' behalf. Three to five board members may hold the following positions: President, Vice-President, Treasurer, Secretary, and Parliamentarian. These appointed directors serve without compensation in graduated terms of one-three years. The annual meeting of the owners for the election of Board members is held during the first or second week in the month of April.
