NOTICES
Board Restructuring: The board has accepted with regret the resignation of James Dunbar who acted as Treasurer of the Association. We thank Mr. Dunbar for his service and ask that any resident interested in the possibility of serving on the board contact Secretary Gary Schroeder or any board member of his/her choice.
RDW Pool & Clubhouse: The Board of Directors has received information that the RDW clubhouse is now being remodeled to fit specifications of a single-family residence. This is in accordance with the R2 zoning that applies. The diretors have heard that this residence is being rented out and are investigating further; however, members who have used the pool in the past are going to need to consider other summer alternatives. For instance, the Boardman Swim Club now offers summer memberships at $200.00. Also, the Boardman YMCA provides an outdoor pool. Keep these alternatives in mind for the future.
Roofing Project & Assessment: The Board of Directors has selected Boak and Sons to complete the roofing project here at St. Andrews. This decision was based on warranty, product offered, company reputation and installation requirements. The following roofs will be completed in the first phase of this five-year project: 4032, 4036, 4038, 4046, 4056, 4064, 4066, 4068, 4072, 6461, 6465. These roofs were chosen on the basis of repair history, age and location in relation to weather exposure. Any roofs not completed in this first phase will be completed in the second. Individual residents will be responsible for replacing any skylights in their units or will sign a waiver assuming liability. The Association will be assuming the expense of the one hallway skylight in the common buildings.
Residents have received notification of the amount of the roofing assessment along with a breakdown of a three-month or one month payment option. Those community members who wish to view all assessments should click on the "2010 Budget" tab above, then click on the white "Roofing Assessment" tab. Listed are all amounts that could be incurred based on potential assessment numbers. Assessments are determined by unit owner's voting percentage as outlined in our Association Declaration and Bylaws. If you have any question your assessment, please contact us through this website by clicking on the "Contact Us" tab above.
Some residents have received a reimbursement from their insurance companies by filing a "loss assessment" claim. This clause allows policy holders to file a claim based on assessments imposed by the association for certain repairs or replacements. Please verify if you are able to file such a claim. If you have further questions on this process or need additional letter or documents, please use the "Contact Us" tab to reach the board.
**as of the 1/9/12 update, $272,130.35 has been collected, which equals 91% of the association. Buildings 4056, 4066, 4064, 4068, 4036, 4032, 6461 and 6465 have been completed. Carl Rafoth is handling legal action against any residents still delinquent. Thanks to all residents who paid their assessment in a timely manner. You make up the majority of this association.
Powerwash Services: Any residents who are looking for a good company to powerwash their decks can contact Tondo's Power Wash: Office phone-330-726-9227 or Cell phone-330-519-4723.
Paint & Stain Colors: Residents wishing to paint their man doors and garages on their own rather than wait until the Association assumes this task will need the Sherwin Williams color City Pigeon (A100 satin finish), and if staining their trim, Beaver Brown. These trim colors or a close match can be obtained through R & S Paints (Benjamin Moore) or Sherwin Williams. If residents choose Sherwin Williams, the trim stain color there is called Manor House.
Parking: A reminder to all residents that no building has specifically designated parking areas. Visitors of residents must share available parking spaces next to the owner's building, and when those spaces are taken, the overflow must go to whatever areas are available. Please remember that visitors may also use the parking circle near the entrance to the Clubhouse.
Vehicle Towing: A reminder that no resident is permitted to leave his/her vehicle parked permanently in the available guest parking spaces. Any vehicle that remains there for any length of time will be towed. Refer to the Rules & Regulations Booklet (see Toolbar tab above) for more information.
